Sometimes it feels like I'm living an episode of the TV show, "Younger." The part where the 40-something woman is straddling millennial and Gen X worlds. Roommate one minute, confidante of friends with kids who are starting to drive, date and consider college the next. It can feel a lot like peeking into different worlds versus fully living in one. In Detroit, I rarely meet people living in the city who are my age. I'm often surfing around looking for familiarity, finding uncommon ground.
