LAST ICE
The frozen ice on Brest Bay, Lake Erie. Fisherman walk or drive ATVs nearly 1.5 miles on the ice to set up their shanties in the walleye-rich region. "Lake Erie went from nearly ice-free around Christmas to almost completely ice covered in about two weeks. This was thanks to the coldest late-December to early-January stretch on record in many Great Lakes locations. Great Lakes ice cover is already more extensive than the peak from last winter."
